Lamb 2 is about 3/4 done with Saxon Math 2. Today his math asked this question.
About how long is a telephone?
2 feet 8 inches 2 pounds 3 inches
He was frustrated because he didn't think any of the 4 choices were correct. He finally circled 3 inches and thought that was as close as he could get. We don't have a landline phone any more. He went and measured my cell phone and it was 4 inches.
3 inches would have been a ridiculous answer when I was teaching in the classroom 10 years ago. Times change. I wonder what the right answer will be in another 10 years.
