My Grandma, my dad's mom, would be 98 if she was still living today. She lived in the Lutheran Home in Fort Wayne as long as I can remember. Before she died, she made a point to tell the staff that she had lived there longer than they had worked there.
As a child, we would take her out of the home for about a week or two and she would come visit us a few times a year. It was her job to mend our clothes when she visited. My mom often kept items she might have thrown out to give her more work. She loved doing this for us. She saved everything after living through the Great Depression!
This photo was taken a few weeks before she died during the last time we were able to visit her. She was thrilled to see Lamb 2!
For all the saints who from their labor rest,
Who thee by faith before the world confessed,
Thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.
Alleluia! Alleluia!
